    Most builders look at the bottom line and don't care about their reputation. I don't know how the codes read back then, but it sure seems like they at least required better materials. Iron pipe is safe, we know that. Plastic coated stainless flex, who knows? Guess we'll hear about it on the news. Copper for a high pressure line that requires a regulator? Kinda scary.

    P.S. I don't see a union between the cut off and the water heater's gas valve.

    Copper sucks for a gas line.But we run 410 through it.Im galv all the way,But some people see it different.

    nice blanket laying on the floor right in front of the water heater. Hope the thing doesn't decide to roll out.

    Why is there a regulator located inside? Hope that thing doesn't fail and decide to vent constantly...........BOOM goes the attic if it does. I thought they were at the gas meter or at the tank?

    At least they had enough sense to put the drip t ahead of the regulator, something our gas pipe sub can't grasp.

    Thats for the tech getting ready to pipe it correctly, Don't want to get the floor dirty

    Thats a 2psi. to 7in.wc. regulator for natural.
