Using the Pres. kids is going too far

Just so you guys know where I'm coming from I'm a staunch believer in the 2nd amendment. I don't think the government or the president has the right to restrict gun ownership or even register & keep track of law abiding citizens who own guns.
That being said I heard on the radio an add from the pro gun lobby or NRA or whoever that really struck me as ludicrous.
It basically said "are the presidents kids any more important than yours" referring to the armed security that follows them to school etc. While I'm a strong gun supporter I can't be blind to the fact that we lose credibility when we come up with stuff like that. To equate the need for security for the President & his family with our own is totally ridiculous. Do any of us need 24hr. secret service protection for our kids or family or ourselves? I think not. AFAIC Obama has been a horrible President but as a parent & grandparent for the first time after hearing that commercial I actually felt bad for him. You can rationalize it all you want but that was a low blow & does not help the cause.

Its pretty clear that Obama doesn't like America and doesn't like Americans. He's doing what he can to fundamentally change the USA. King Obama is also a master propagandist. Absolute master. Like a good lawyer he knows it ain't the facts or the truth; its what you can get the folks to believe..."folks" he likes that a lot "just plain folks like us"..."everybody knows"....

My kids are far more important to me than Obama's kids, I should have every means available to me to protect them.

If you have a problem with that, take it up with Mr Executive Order

I like the idea of GUN FREE ZONES, the first 2 zones should be the US capital, and then the WHITE HOUSE....

I think it's a valid point/question. If there can be armed security at the school where the Presidents' children go to keep them safe then why can't they be where OUR children go to keep them safe. OUR children are just as precious and irreplaceable as his are.

Of course our kids are more important to us than the president's kids & we should have every means available to protect them but that's not the point. Forget about what kind of President Obama is & think about the kids. If you don't think the danger to the Presidents kids not being constantly protected is far greater than one of our own then there's no point going any further.

Because Al Qaeda would like nothing more than to use harming the children of the President of the United States as an example of their far reaching power. The do not get much political mileage out of going after your kids. If you are OK with allowing them the prestige of killing the kids of the head of your country how much respect would you garner around the world?

    http://now.msn.com/obama-daughters-a...1-armed-guards

Obama kid's school has 11 armed guards. Obama's children are far more important than yours or anyone else's. Obama's kids go to a school with armed gaurds. They also have secret service protection on top of that.

Obama does not care about your children one way or another. Maybe a little bit if his son would 'look like him'. Obama is a Marxist, promoting a Marxist agenda, and will use any means to promote his agenda.

Honestly, I would just as soon leave the Obamaspawn out of the conversation. But Obama is dancing upon children's graves to push an anti-gun agenda. Using children as emotional props. Obama is a liar.

If the hypocrisy involves his own children + policy + record,.. and it does, fair game for topic.

1/ Obamababes have armed security while most kids attend a gun-free zone.
2/ ObamaPolicy has given guns to Mexican criminals that have murdered USA officers.
3/ Obama is politically/policy aligned with the most failed cities on gun violence,

Obama is not as much an idiot as he is a Marxist. Obama wants your guns.

President's kids have secret service. The school has independent guards. Pay attention please.

This is why I no longer belong to the NRA. No reasonable solutions, just propaganda to make people by more guns. When are people going to realize the manufacturers run the show. Tone deaf to the majority of reasonable gun owners is putting it mildly. If folks can't see the difference in the level of risk between the president's children and their own they need to step away from the discussion since they have nothing to offer.

I'm sure that's what they thought in Newtown too...the whole point is why should our children not have the right of the same protection?
