    70 db 5 ton condenser

Local ordinance is requiring us to install condenser no louder than 70db since they are only 15' from the property line. Bryant does not have one. I understand Carrier has one but just for their premier dealers. Anyone know of any other brands that meet the low db requirement?

    Thanks,
    Brad

Lennox makes high end equipment that is very quiet but you pay for what you get.

I don't know the decibel rating but some of the frigidaire units are very quite. Look for units with sweeping fan blades and sound blankets on compressor.

Are you sure a 4 ton wouldn't do the job? 5 tons is a LOT of cooling..
