    Buderus GB142 New Construction

I know many of you busted my hump about not painting the board on this install....

    http://hvac-talk.com/vbb/showthread....-Family-Retail

The pics below are of a new construction home being built by a local inspector.

    -all in floor
-garage zone has antifreeze and is separated with plate heat exchanger
    -boiler buddy
    -alpha pump with zones
    -indirect dhw

This is still a work in progress but I thought it looks great so far. The water line to the fill for the boiler was installed as a temporary thing by the plumber as he was in a hurry. I didn't do any of the piping but I designed the boiler board and will be completing wiring and start up probably next week. We also have installed a gas furnace, a/c and duct into this house.

that wasn't what we were going for.... but sure!

ironically, i looked up the instructions online for the boiler buddy (after my other boiler post) and found nothing noted about check valves either in writing or any of the drawings

    thanks for looking!

Looks great! The diamond plate is a bit "much" - I guess you can't win. lol

When using teh boiler buddy, stop using the supplied decoupler manifold! Needless extra pump!

So the white tank is a buffer tank? Is this to increase the water capacity in the system and reduce short cycling?

Installed many Mon/Cons - never with a buffer.

Thermal mass, your correct, if it can't modulate down below the lowest load it will short cycle.

the diamond plate i think was actually aluminum, we mounted a 4x8 sheet of the plate to plywood and it's mounted and anchored to the wall but with a 1/2" gap so as to avoid moisture issues

    thanks for looking
