hello i got a question im working on a victory reach in refrigerator Model-Raa-2d-s7 and apparently. the door frame heater wire on one of the corners some how got damaged by the door opening and closing all the years. Was wondering if its possible to just solder in a small extension piece of wire or would that be to dangerous or should i just buy one of the universal heater wiring kits the refrigerator is of my personal use . thank you
Replace it. Do it right.
Never tried to repair one myself so don't know if is worth the effort. They are inexpensive so just replace.
Is it sweating? If not, just disconnect the heater and let it go.
If you're repair breaks someone could get zapped. Just replace it. If it's on a cooler, like MicahWes said, you may not even need it.

replacing would be the safer repair and also posssible ly prevent a call back
I've repaired them in the past.
Faster than replacing them when you're running 100 miles an hour in the summertime.
Typically not necessary to solder an extension on, just start ripping into the wire and you'll see why.
I have replaced a few on freezer walk in doors no problem repair order the new part install
