Back to pain again. MUA topic revisited
So, if I have to address this issue for my 1-st floor, what would be the most effective and sensible approach?
1. Tying it into the central air distribution system with inlet on the side of the house?
2. Standalone intake unit?
Though there are several challenges immediately arise
1. How to synchronize the operation with exhaust fan?
2. How to measure volume of required MUA?
What are the best DIY methods to measure natural infiltration
TIA for any insight on this matter

1 An ERV is the most efficient. Just a duct to the return of your furnace is the cheapest. What are you trying to accomplish?

What do you mean?
Kitchen pop-up hood, pushing out 600-800 CFM but I am also considering sidewall mount general exhaust close to 1200-1500 CFM1B Synchronize with what kind and size exhaust fan?

I wrote about it a while back. You need to condition your make up air. The load changes with outdoor air conditions. follow this link:

The trouble is, you will have a tough time finding an 800 CFM ERV. Good luck.
