Hello all I am a Maintenance Supervisor for a small apartment complex and have been work in Maintenance for about six years now. I started out with companies that took care of the units and that the wiring was always the proper way and the units were maintained correctly. You know the type of units the ones that have the proper capacitors and when they have to replace the contactor it is the OEM or proper after market one.

I now work for a company where most of the units I work on are on the roof and that are 25 years plus old. Ones that you have no clue who has touched the unit. I spent several hours yesterday trying to get the wiring straightened out and some missing parts reinstalled. One was a transformer. I spent part of that time looking and relooking and looking again at other units. I finally had to break down and call a service company in and they spent almost two hours working on the Unit.

So why am I here. I am looking to learn and further my knowledge from guys who wont get mad when I ask stupid questions.
