    scotsman nugget ice machine woes

    Scotsman N0922A

This unit is still under warrenty and only two months old.

Last week it had a error for no water in resivour. Water was runnning into the reservoir into the freeze chamber and down the drain.

Spoke with tech support and found the lower water seal bad. Ordererd a new one and returned today to install. Got the new seals installed but still leak not much though.

Unit was running and producing good ice. Keptt going out on error code for ref pressurs too high/low. Found high side of 100 and low of 20. Unit installed in a garage that is not heated and was 52°.

Spec sheet said lowest amb temp is 50. We are having them install a heater so we can recheck. Im just worried about the leaking.

Inlet water temperature should not be any lower than 45f

There should be no water leaks at any point of operation, the water seal is suspect or was installed improperly. As for the amb. temp 52/f is also a concern. you need a warmer room. I'll need a few more details please call the number listed. Thank you.

What ive seen on some machines is that the inlet water pressure was too high and preventing the water inlet from closing. The water feeding in causes the reservoir to overflow and dump down the drain.
