Alan in Brazil
Hi, All,
I'm living on the beach in Brazil and am wondering how to keep the salt from my electronics. My apartment is 20 meters from the sea wall. I have no real need for heating or cooling in this climate. But average life expectancy on computers is less than a year. So I'm wondering if I can put a portable dehumidifier in my office to remove the humidity (and hopefully the salt along with it), or whether there might be a filter system that would do the job.
A low tech, inexpensive solution would be great. Everything metallic corrodes very quickly, especially air conditioners and fans.
Should I post my question in a particular forum?
Thanks.

What beach are you on? I was in Ilhabela a little over a year ago.
