I have three sources of heat available to me:
1) Heat Pump
2) Pellet stove (can be wired to a millivolt t-stat)
3) Oil fired furnace
My system currently works as follows (T-stat is a 3h/2c VisionPRO 8000):
Pellet stove is operated manually. The stove is on 24/7 unless the outside temp is forcasted to stay above 45.
The thermostat is set to 60 degrees. If for whatever reason the pellet stove fails, we wont be freezing any pipes or pets. Heat pump is primary and is set to lock out at 35 degrees. The oil furnace is our last resort.
I want to automate my system as much as possible. Here's how I'd like things to work:
Heat pump is primary.
If lock out occurs (outside temp falls below 35) call for pellet stove*** I do NOT want to blower to run when the stove kicks on.
If the pellet stove fails (inside temp drops to 60) call for oil heat.
1) Is this setup even possible?
2) If so, Is this setup possible with my current T-stat?
I've thought about putting the furnace on it's own T-stat, though I'm not sure if the blower will work correctly when either stat calls for it to turn on (heat or a/c). My furnace is a Thermopride (w/ Beckett burner) if it makes any difference... it's about 7 years old.
*** Pellet stove notes:
when connected to a T-stat, the stove can be set to operate in 1 of 2 ways:
1) 'on' when call is made; 'off' when T-stat is satisfied
2) 'high' when call is made; 'low' when T-stat is satisfied
Thanks in advance!

Here is how I would do it.
1)Heat pump on until lockout
2)lockout signal to relay activating stove full on
3)Tstat at 60 deg for oil furnace keeping stove full on
So, I think you do it with 1 stat.
I assume the system presently does not allow oil furnace to operate while HP is working. If not this is easily done.
