Innovative condensing furnace vent
This was installed by an out-of-town contractor working for a home warranty company. They also used 1/2" foil-backed foam board to patch the ductboard.
The customer said there was a funny smell.

When you're finished running a new vent, how about selling them on a re-duct-tape job. They've advanced alot in the last few years.

I've got one almost as good. Been in a house where a (since out of business due to owner's unexpected death) company vented a 80% furnace and natural draft water heater in PVC. Out the wall like a 90%.
The PVC, especially at the elbows, was beginning to take on a slightly Dali quality in appearance.
The pièce de résistance was the foil tape used to connect the PVC to the equipment.

I think that is the greatest thing I have ever seen.
