Acid
Has anyone had any sucess using a acid neutralizer product in a system after a burnout like acid scavenger. The comperssor is a copland scroll and I am unable to do any oil changes. And I was wondering about trying a product like acid scavenger out.

Look very closely at the chemistry before using a product like this.
The chemistry looks something like this.
Acid + base = water + metal salt.
Example:
HCl (hydrochloric acid) + NaOH (Sodium Hydroxide) = NaCl (Table salt) + H2O (Water)
So, adding that acid scavenger stuff can create a new problem for you.

I fully support JP's answer, and would go so far as to say there only two things that ought to be inside a vapor compression system: oil and refrigerant.
