    Blower motor

I've been asked to look at a blower motor that stays running(more than it should) what might keep power going to motor, after the t-stat is satisfied ? The unit is very old. I was thinking the time delay or relay? Any thoughts would help a lot thanks

Examination of the schematic will quickly answer that question

Depends on the unit and if you are using heating, cooling, or fan only mode.

Take your meter, the schematic, and find out.

Be careful that you are not treating a symptom, rather than the real problem; the control may be doing its job.

you need to really think about this. the problem is the motor runs to long. this tells you the motor is working, right? the motor does not think for itself. I suggest you call a pro before it wids up costing more money.

Alright! Come to find out it is the motor on the burner it self, the one that itemizes the fuel. Also the problem is the motor not starting properly. It is a Miller burner for mobile home(1973)and has a RPM of 3000. So would any one know where to find replacement motor? Thank for all your help.

I don't recall 1973 Miller Guns using a 3450 RPM burner motor. Was the burner changed out to a newer one, or someone just put a 3450 on it.

before you throw new expensive parts at it, how do you know for sure it is the motor? because it is not running? and I thought the problem was the motor was running to long?

No it is 3000rpm, also the motor is not starting properly! When she hits with hammer it will start running up to speed!

you have 2 choices of rpm it could be. 3000 isn't one of them. at least I have never seen one.

The oil pump of an oil burner, is either 1725, or 3450. Sounds like someone put the wrong motor on.
