no grease fitting on new bearing
Why would a new Browning bearing VPLE 119 B064A come without grease fittings? Do they not need to be greased or is there another reason?

Are they sealed bearings or you may have to add the zurks but call the distributor or manufactuter to get confirmation.

I found a VPLE 119 on line (along with this thread, already indexed by Google) and the pic I saw shows a Zerk on a pillow block bearing.
Do you have a threaded hole to accept a Zerk?[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]

I agree, If its sealed than no problem. But if there is a place to put a fitting you really need to check for the distributor. Depending on the environment its in also verify the grease type. I have seen in my day pillow blocks installed on fan units with out crease in them..

Zerks, proper spelling. Always be attentive to type of grease whether high temp, lithiom, or just regular and don't mix them either.

They have threaded plugs. I thought it was interesting. If the manufacture had any class, they would put instructions in the box. I will call the distributor. Thank you all.

On a related question; why would a motor have a threaded hole on top of the bearing housing (with a zerk or plug), but no hole at all on the bottom (for the old grease to be pushed out of)? The motors in question are in Trane AHU's. M-Series Climate Changers. And they have zerks.
