Govt statistics as to what kills folks
From a retired military guy... follows gun stuff:
"What we are hearing from bloviating gun control advocates in America is nothing short of emotionally driven irrationality.
According to statistics assembled from the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Center for Disease Control and the Federal Government, firearms related homicides are minuscule in comparison to other the other “big killers” in the United States.
If we look at homicide statistics in the United States it’s clear that more murders are committed with knives, bats, hammers and poisons than with firearms. As Kurt Nimmo recently noted, “ the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outpaces the number of murders committed with a rifle.”
The facts, not the drivel being spewed by the anti-gun propaganda machine, leave us wondering why some State and Federal lawmakers are so adamant about restricting the sale and ownership of handguns and rifles, especially since the majority of gun owners – close to 99% – have never committed a violent crime in their lives, let alone used a gun to do so.
Here is the chart they never want you to see:
Ten big killers in the USA:
Tobacco: 529,000
Medical errors: 195,000
Unintentional injuries: 118,021
Alcohol abuse: 107,400
Motor vehicle accidents: 34,485
Unintentional poisonings: 31,758
Drug abuse: 25,500
Unintentional falls: 24,792
'Non-firearm' homicides 18,799
Firearm homicides: 11,493
The chart above proves that politicians and those who would disarm Americans by going so far as to call for a repeal of the 2nd Amendment have ulterior motives – or they’re completely ignorant of the facts.
Perhaps their goal is to trigger a revolution in an effort to implement a total police state over the American people.
It wouldn’t be the first time that a government has tried something like this."

Americans are too docile a people to participate in any sort of revolution.
I mean seriously..... If the government seeks to disarm america.....all they got to do is make a law where people must bring their weapons down to the sheriffs office by such and such a date.... and the vast majority of americans would comply....then return home and go on the net and talk of revolution....
Americans have already been disarmed.... their brains have already been turned into mush.....they have no will power anymore...... no drive.....
Look at our society today....we are nothing but a bunch of complainers and talkers......there isnt a "doer" among us......Let go of my cracker jacks, If you dont Im going to have to beat you....... now then hand my captain crunch back over to me this instant.....or else !!!

Well I can agree that years of socialist / communist indoctrination in our socialist controlled public educational system backed up by the far left controlled news media. They have done their job well in brainwashing a good percent of our citizens especially women and minorities. But most folks who haven't gone too deep into drugs still have a mind and there is hope for them to see the light. Thank you, thank you very much

"I have little interest in streamlining government or in making it more efficient, for I mean to reduce its size. I do not undertake to promote welfare, for I propose to extend freedom. My aim is not to pass laws, but to repeal them."

If you bend over for Obama.........don't complain when he comes back for seconds. The USA is in trouble. You better wake the hell up before the nightmare gets worse.
