Just wondering if anyone out there knows if you can open a HVAC company without having a contractors license in Ohio.... I seen somewhere that you don't need a contractors license to have a handyman service as long as your not doing work that requires a permit, was wondering if that would include repairing HVAC systems? And before I hear it from some of you... this business will in no way compete with or take customers from my current employer. Thanks for any help.

not sure about ohio licensing, but, you will get slammed by guys on here for talking about side jobs. most of them are buisness owners that forgot how they got started.

side jobs..... really........ your fired......
it was working.... played with it.... now its broke.... whats the going hourly rate for HVAC repair
Id say a side business would be a conflict of interest, better off doing side work and hiding lol
I would think about selling Crack or whatever other drug as the chances of getting caught by your employer are about the same as being popped by the police.
If it is about money for doing something wrong might as well go out strong
my father always said if you are going to be a thief don't rob a liquor store, rob a armored car. if u gonna go to jail at least make it worth the risk.
