Hello,
I had a new furnace installed about 3 months ago, it's a 96% efficient EL296XV Series gas furnace. I have what I believe is a York heat pump LX Series YHJD. I have a lennox icomfort thermostat. The gas furnace supports dual fuel and I wanted to hook this up. Will the York heat pump work with the icomfort thermostat?
Thanks
Dan

The Lennox icomfort thermostat will work on any system using a "dummy" kit. You just won't have the full communication features that the thermostat provides.
York may offer a communicating thermostat that is compatible with your York furnace. Ask your contractor...or maybe some of the other (york dealer) pros can chime in.
The gas furnace supports dual fuel that work together, basically from my understanding the heat pump will work better in a spring/fall application and the gas furnace is more for dead of winter temps.
The icomfort will NOT support dual fuel without an icomfort ready lennox heat pump.
