Blackwater could not have pulled off that mission without the use of helicopters, backup helicopters, backup personnel and air support. Our Special Ops work on a daily basis without trashing helicopters. We lose a lot more while seeking far less important targets. ...Our guys do armed escorts for less too.
And you call me stubborn.

With all due respect there GA I generally agree with you but the Blackwater boys I don't think would be willing to sacrifice their life for the cause. I mean like rushing a position like a young well trained (and to a certain extent "brainwashed") SF gung ho trooper would. I know what I'm talking about.
I was fully indoctrinated when I went through my training in 67 prior to going to Nam. The Blackwater boys I'm sure would take some risks but nothing like well trained and motivated young soldiers would. Thank you, thank you very much"I could have ended the war in a month. I could have made North Vietnam look like a mud puddle."

To point out about the nutrition regulations: MY daughter eats fast food/junk food once a week and will have a drink of soda once a week. My wife and I feed her healthy food and don't need OR WANT the government to tell us how to do our jobs as parents. If they were so good at "taking care of business" then why is our country going to crap?

Yes, Childhood obesity and obesity in america has been under discussion for decades....... decades.... and I personally dont see anything wrong with the gov trying to get in there and do something about it.
I hate seeing these kids on the street who are morbidly obese......it hurts them in so many ways.... and even grown adults and older folks...... got to try and knock that weight off for your heart.....Let go of my cracker jacks, If you dont Im going to have to beat you....... now then hand my captain crunch back over to me this instant.....or else !!!

Missed your post the first time around, only caught it because of Roy. And yes I am more practically minded than some here, mind you I am more to the right in my country, I just look left compared to some here.
On vehicles I think it is a good thing to make them efficient, I do not believe in wasting things unnecessarily. Just look at the vehicles that we have now compared to the early 80's. We still have cars that can hold a family and their stuff and yet they still can put out 200hp and get twice the fuel economy of a similar car back then. I do not see this as a bad thing.Never argue with a fool, onlookers may not be able to tell the difference. —Mark Twain
