    gearwrench service wrench

    Was wondering if anyone had tried out Gearwrench I don't ever really use the 5/16 and 3/8 squares found on most service wrenches so replacing them with 1/2" and 9/16" 6 point seems like a good idea. Then again I'm not doing service work and maybe those squares are more common in the field.

    What are you using the Gear Wrenches for? Service wrenches are specific to square heads. I wouldn't use a 6 point on a square head because you may mess it up for the next guy. That being said I have quite a few Gear Wrenches. I especially like the ones with the cap stop. It will not slide pass the bolt head or nut. Found this to be easier. Of course if you have one with bolt extending pass the nut then you need the other. I do have a few that are broken. They supposedly have a lifetime warranty but don't know how to claim it.

    Sorry I embed the link. Just noticed how it does not stand out at all.

    Its a quadbox gearwrench with 3/16 and 1/4 squares at one end and 1/2 and 9/16 hex at the other. Was just wondering if anyone had picked it up.

    That's pretty cool. The 9/16 works on the acorn caps.

    I purchased a regular style refrigeration wrench by gearwrench off amazon and I really like it, it has plenty of clicks and ratchets very well, and it has not let go on me or anything bad, I would easily recommend the product, I have not seen the wrench posted above, that is pretty neat.

    I've used simular for years. Nice to get the cap off then flip the wrench over to operate the valve.
