Thanks, left feeling pretty good about it. I am not looking forward to telling my boss if I do get it, I'm "the guy", its really his fault in a way by not keeping me busy.

Isn't it funny how many of us, for whatever reason, have come to even despise various positions over the years, harbor a bad attitude for months, get up the courage to leave, follow thru with it etc...

And still end up dreading telling the boss you are leaving?

    Good luck...fingers crossed fo ya'.

I feel exactly the same, not sure why but I feel bad for leaving because my boss counts on me.

Well I got the job! Now the fun part.

Congratulations! Leaving can be emotional. Your boss might even make a counter offer. So whatever you do, try to leave on good terms. You don't want to burn any bridges. Good luck.

That's one thing I learned is to separate the easiest less painful way possible. I was about to get a raise so I suspect the same but the other place is far better for me.

It's pretty interesting. A lot less physical and a lot more small tools. I don't know if I like that part (not using all my tools) but I do like my knees and back not hurting.

You will grow to like the commercial side. What all do your new guys do?

They do commercial construction and service, resi installs and service, plus they have a state o the art sheet metal shop. Sounds like they want to train me in commercial work, like you I'm going to miss installs, when I do a complex boiler job it sure feels nice to see what I did, I guess I will get over it.

Ha lets not kid yourself, I don't do installs. I did all of our refrigeration and a lot of ac work.
