Fun times!
I'm sitting in Australia on a month vacation and I dragged along 2 controllers and my laptop to fill any "down" time I have. Not really working but writing and testing some code for future deployment. Things I don't have time for when I'm working.

Never had a problem with controllers and/or power supplies. Lighters is another story. One airport directs you to pack them, others want you to carry them and when you are making international transfers and you can't pack them back into your checked luggage you end up sending three high dollar lighters back to yourself wondering if you will ever see them again.
Was worried that they would consider the controllers commercial samples but never been asked about them.

Yep, even going hunting my laptop is in the truck.
However if it is vacation you have the wrong drink on your desk, unless that's one of those hide a can slip covers...

I almost got the cavity search (did get searched 2x) for a couple of precision screwdrivers in the bottom of a carry on.
