Far too young, too. He was a grad of my academy, before going to West Point.
The tight-lipped nature of this report makes me wonder what killed him.[Avatar photo from a Florida training accident. Everyone walked away.]

12-27-2012, 09:44 PM #4The picture in my avatar is of the Houston Ship Channel and was taken from my backyard. I like to sit outside and slap mosquitos while watching countless supertankers, barges and cargo ships of every shape and size carry all sorts of deadly toxins to and fro. It's really beautiful at times.....just don't eat the three eyed fish....

I hadn't heard that, very sad.

That is sad....I met him twice in my military career....he was a big man physically and didn't really like the "Stormin Norman" nick name...most of the troops under his command nicknamed him "The Bear"....He was one tough General and did not play the political game after he retired.
It is time for all good men to come to the aid of their country, for we are in deep crap.

I liked him because he couldn't stand Colon Powell.

Yea, agree.
Colin Powell was not a military general... he was a political general.
I remember during the Congressional hearings (televised) to approve invading Iraq after 911... it did not take a rocket scientist to look at Powell and see he was lieing through his teeth.
After thought... it became obvious why it was televised... not to inform... rather to create public opinion.GA-HVAC-Tech
