    Call in no heat look what I found

    On vacation this week get called in for no heat. No one on can seam to figure out why this one RTU can not supply enough heat. Checked on BAS system and see unit is only running at .25 pressure set point is 1.50. Ask crew on did anyone notice that the unit wasn't running right since the 23th and today is the 26th (WTF). Go up and find one VFD reading 100% and other with phase lost code. Open up control panel and get that something has burned smell. Find burned up contactor and wires burned back.

    I have seen this many time and was caused by loose connection. This is why all HVAC Tech needs to tighten all connections before you leave the job. Using a infra red heat gun will help you in troubleshooting the hot spots.

    Hope they extended your vacation for an extra day.
    I love overtime I just hate working for it.

    No wouldn't extend. But got 6 hours of overtime and 4 hours back on PTO. Only was there for a couple of hours, wife wasn't happy but will be when the next pay check comes in.
