If you had that fancy thang, you would only have to pull a 1 minute vacuum on the low side

Holy crap! "I need to get this a little hotter." The first time i ever soldered a line set with oxy/acetylene I punched a hole in the 3/8 on a 7/8x3/8 set because i had the torch cranked to be quick on the 7/8. Granted I was like 14 or 15 at the time. My only question is how long has he been at this?!? Ive been in this field since 13 (family company) and I'm 29 now. I've seen similar work in my area and it scares me some times. I've got a slew of issues with this video, but my hands would fall asleep if I listed them all lol.

It takes what...about five-seven seconds for a 3/8 to become hot enough for the silvox to run, and another four to draw it around and down? And if vertical and you hit the bottom joint first, the top is already well on it's way.
I like the way he jumped when he relit the torch...same way I did when I first touched one in school.

I have some old t-shirts and directions to a garden hose for this poor guy. Some has to get him some wet rags.

The laptop on the condenser and telemarketing headset are a nice touch...they set him apart from the guys under the bridge asking for a dollar.
