    Amana glycol system

Hello, first-time poster here, so hopefully I have the correct forum. If not, apologies.

I have an Amana glycol system that I am replacing in my home. The home was built in 1983 and the system is the home's original heating/cooling system, along with the optional water tank.
And, yes, everything is still fully functional, barring the water tank, which has developed a pin-hole leak near the top, though it is still working.

After much decision, I've decided to swap out everything.

My question is this: After reading several posts on this site (which, by the way, have been very helpful, so thanks much), and considering the cult-like status of Amana, should I transport the old units to recycling, or do you think there would be interest somewhere, from somebody, in salvaging these parts?

    Thanks for the input.

I miss working on those htm units. You may find a few people that would take it off your hands for more than scrap cost.

Those were really good units IMO. We still have 2 in service.

donate it to your local tech school, that way the students will know not everything that they will encounter is going to be nice & shiny
It`s better to be silent and thought the fool; than speak and remove all doubt.
