Can someone answer these rumors?

I've heard two rumors this week, I'm just wondering if anyone knows whether there's any truth to them.

1) Nordyne is filing for bankrupcy...

2) There is no longer going to be an AMANA line, just Goodman...

I'm apprehensive to post these here (I don't want to start any rumors), but I'm curious if anybody has heard anything like this.

Heh, in this business anything is possible.

I've learned not to discount anything I hear through the Grapevine, it usually has some basis in fact.

Nordyne going belly up? Last I heard they were doing well.


Of course the local counter guys talk a lot of crap when I see them, so I haven't visited them for awhile.

If they were in dire financial straits I would blame it on their pricing structure.
They seem to feel they can demand a huge price for their Branded names.

Amana displacing Goodman?

Amana is here to stay. There are more differences between the Amana line and the Goodman line then there are differences between any other one company/multi-brand equipment lines out there.

Why would Goodman get rid of such a well known name?
