Yes, I know it doesnt matter when adam shot his mommy...... Im just pointing out that his momma died from a bullet.... and therefore he must had access to at least one gun prior to killing her..... Doesnt matter one bit in the ongoing debate about guns.... but I know some folks think he killed her and then took her key or something....lol
From what Ive read about that gal....she probably had a gun on her night stand.... which is perfectly fine..... In her mind....her son was a good boy and he would never do anything like he ended up doing....
moms are like that....
and Hugh.... you dont know a dang thing about the 2nd amendment...... but we will let that one go......
Oh...nobody else here knows anything about it either..... guess you all are internet educated....blogs and emails.....
Oh yes... just let it go.
I have nothing against gun ownership.... just wish we could do something to keep them out of the hands of people like adam lanza and these other loonies..... If its an outright ban on guns......which it wont be..... i guess thats what we deserve..... its not like we have been hammering on our congress folks to do something about this before.....Let go of my cracker jacks, If you dont Im going to have to beat you....... now then hand my captain crunch back over to me this instant.....or else !!!

Welcome to New York States "Safe Act" King Cuomo used the Feinstein ban as his guide for the NY gun ban.
King Cuomo used a political maneuver called "Message of Necessity" to get his anti-gun bill through the legislature in 24 hours and behind closed doors with no input from the community or other politicians. The idiots rushed it through so fast and without reading it they forgot to exempt the police from the Magazine capacity ban. So legally the police can only have 7 rounds in there magazines <freaking idiots>
What happened in NYS was not democracy. It was a blatant abuse of power, period..”No law ever prevented a crime.”

Why we need the right to bare arms.
"The bitterness of poor quality remains long after the sweetness of low price is forgotten". --Benjamin Franklin
"Don't argue with an idiot, they will drag you down to their level and beat you with experience". --Mark Twain

Corny, let me give you a few clues regarding the Second Amendment.
The first ten amendments are called the Bill Of Rights. They are restrictions on the federal government, they are protections against government intrusion on individual rights. They all apply to individual citizens, people living in each of the states.
They protect us from the governments best intentions. They protect us from our own best intentions. They are there to stop congress and the president from passing laws that mess with our most basic freedoms. Should it ever be deemed necessary to pass laws that step on any of these amendments then it requires that the amendments themselves be changed. Until then congress is prohibited from passing any such "well intentioned" laws!
The current proposed firearms laws clearly overstep the Second Amendment. Each amendment was written simple for the common man to read and understand plus we have reams of notes and quotes by the same guys who wrote those amendments that make it quite clear as to what they ment.
Anyone who was elected to office and swore to uphold the constitution (Fienstien for example) and then works to pass these current laws is guilty of treason against the constitution for which he or she swore to defend. They are actually attacking the very document they swore to defend. Others are just standing by not attacking or defending the constitution but they swore to defend it! They are also guilty of something.
Corny, since you claim we know nothing of the constitution please tell us where I am wrong. Please educate me regarding our founding document.

The second amendment has been consistently interpreted as a limited right and subject to government regulation and restriction. Recently, even conservative and constitutional foundationalist Justice Scalia has affirmed that regulation or restrictions of firearms is constitutionally valid.

In other words, Korwin is forced to publish his own books because no reputable book publisher will.
Korwin is a rightwing conspiracy buff and birther.“The list is meaningless tripe. It is camouflage for the real purpose of the bill. When the president said he is not going to take away your guns, well, Feinstein’s bill puts the lie to that. Magazine size does not matter. Brand name does not matter. It doesn’t matter if it’s black. If you can grip it, it’s banned under this bill.”
The bill, in fact, states, “‘Pistol grip’ means … any … characteristic that can function as a grip.”
That definition follows on the bill’s specific reference that a “pistol grip” is a banned component.
Make preparations, with a comprehensive guide to self-defense, “Armed Response.
Korwin wrote his first book, “The Arizona Gun Owner’s Guide,” in 1989, and it now is in its 25th edition. He subsequently wrote or helped with nine more books on gun laws for several individual states, as well as federal guides to national laws and Supreme Court gun cases.
He maintains on his website a free directory to every gun law in the nation.
Outside of the conspiracy and tin foil hat crowd, Korwin inspires little if any crediblity

Jmac,
It isn’t too late to register and it's only forty miles. It would clear your head and give you some experience in being around people without being able to shoot someone. But with 32,000 people there might be a bad guy in the mix.
