It is not just the NRA....

There are a host of gun organizations out there... the NRA is probably the most passive of them all. The press likes to ignore the rest... thinking in their naivete the public may not find them... LOL.

I do not remember the name... however there is one organization that is something like $10M strong... and supported by atty's in all 50 states. Their mission is to take down laws through litigation which argue with the 2nd amendment. They were key players in overturning the CCW ban in Ill recently.

The gun crowd is alive and well and STRONG in America... Corny you are just dreaming... or instigating.

We could be educating people about making guns inaccessible to any young people, nutty people, rough people, violent people or gang types that might know we have guns or that might obtain them through a home robbery. Guns stored in high-crime, rough areas definitely need to be secured.

If we scrutinized people’s methods of securing guns in their homes the way we scrutinize every Middle Easterner getting on a plane we could reduce the number of guns on the street without giving up anything. We don’t need the govt. to fix this, we can do it on our own, but organizations like the NRA should think more about what is right than what is right for them. Funny, that is what we say about the entitlement crowd…only thinking about themselves.
In the process of doing what you propose... a whole host of Constitutional rights, Bill of Rights, and Amendments would be violated.

The price if freedom is the price of freedom. If the principle had been carrying... probably less than half a dozen at the most would be dead. Maybe none if the school was not a gun-free zone... the idiot kid may have gone somewhere else.

Don't forget about the NRA younger brother the "National Redneck Association".

Now how would you resolve that? Put the key somewhere safe... OK, where is safe? Or perhaps have a combo lock on the gun storage... And the kid picks the lock?
You’re quite the detective, aren’t you? Didn’t he kill her in bed with rifle shots to the face? That means he had full access to the guns. And how do you assume combination locks can be picked so easily?

An Aggie would put the key in the gun safe.

A gun stolen and misused is not a 200 – 2,000 dollars loss. It is a multi-million dollar loss. It just isn’t the original gun owner that has to pay up. He gets to play dumb and walk away from the situation.

Only if we got the police involved. Raising public awareness and practices doesn't violate anything.

Tell you what Brian... post a link from a CREDIBLE organization detailing how she died... Lets see what happened.

As to the locks... not that hard... Bet you could find someone on the street who would open it for around $100.

You really do not know nor understand what the Founding Documents say... do you. Govt is restricted from many of the things you propose... and for good reason!

Take away those restrictions... and the USA becomes a Banana dictatorship... You wanna live in one of those... that is your choice... However I and many million Americans understand how dangerous that is... and do NOT want to go there.

And that is what thieves do when they break into your house? They call a locksmith? You're quite the investigator.

BTW - I heard she died in her bed with multiple rifle shots to the face. Look it up yourself so you start a spin on that too.

He hasn't posted a link from any organization. Credible, or otherwise. Really bringing nothing to the table in this debate.

Maybe he doesn't know how to link?

It took too long for me to figure out that BrianGC is nothing but a troll. The complete disrespect for everyone elses rights is astounding to me.

For the second time Brian... I and the Conservatives are NOT into spin... That is the way of idiots... not folks trying to do things RIGHT.

You, Sir, are the spin-meister... and as such you have admitted you are not interested in truth... just games. SO... YOU SIR... are not to be trusted... by your own admittance.
