I'm not trying to make any comparisons.
It's a simple matter that, if GUNS caused the problem, the violence would be one H**L of a lot worse.
The VAST majority of guns and gun owners NEVER commit a crime with their firearms.
Placing further restrictions on the type of guns that someone can LEGALLY own would have zero effect on crime because the SANE and LAW ABIDING citizens, those who are no danger to anyone, would continue to follow the law while the INSANE and the CRIMINALS, those who ARE a danger, will continue to disregard it.
It's a logical inconsistency that so many seem to ignore.

You can say all you want that you are not drawing a comparison but you are whether you realize it or not.
We had one LAW ABIDING CITIZEN here in Tucson who gunned down 19 people two years ago to the day.
What is your solution for Loughner not being able to purchase the gun he used to do it with?
And don't give me we should have had a mental evaluation prior because that is not a justifiable answer because it would never have happened.
Having some sort of certification process is the best and most reasonable way to prevent sales of firearms to wackos.
And anyone who wants to argue this point is simply making themselves look silly with such a position on this issue.
I thought you were one of the ones that were smart enough to get it.
Guess not.

and thats your response? you don't want a discussion, you WANT A BAN. why don't you answer my questions....all of them. You want me to restate every one of them
But of course when I did post what I would be in favor of, you COMPLETELY dismissed it.
so your not here for an answer are you. your here to tell us that we should bow to your will, and when we don't you take the "Borg" defense.
way to go, WE WILL NOT BE ASSIMILATED,.”No law ever prevented a crime.”

Yep thats my response to you.
Its not MY will its the will of the government.
Get used to it.
You are not willing to discuss anything in good faith.
The people who do want gun control love irrational big mouths spouting such rhetoric.
You make their job easier to convince others that your side is never going to compromise so a ban is the only way to fix the gun problem
Only a fool can't see that.

I could ask you guys the same question.
None of you are willing to give an inch
You all are going to get the ban you deserve because of your unwillingness to compromise.
As I have said before: Go ahead bite off your noses to spite your face
It will either be tougher gun purchasing and ammo regulations or a ban.
At this point it doesn't matter either way to me.

I guess you're right. I won't compromise. I refuse to have a victims mind set. Or to be a victim.
I don't see a total ban, in my lifetime anyway. You just can't shut down a billions of dollar a year machine like the firearms industry. The people that own firearms (like me) won't tolerate it.

It won't effect me either. I have enough of both to last me the rest of my life.
I hate to see what happens to the next generation though.
I've lived through 2 "bans" so far. All they accomplished, was to drive prices up. During the last one, I paid $700.00 for a magazine! And they're approaching that price again.

Kinda sounds like Waco, or the Randy Weaver incidents to me.
You really need to quit adding to you posts before I can reply to the original posting. Never did I hint that I'd go out guns blazing.
When you have some extra time, try reading this article. (No, I really don't think you will)
