Try to seal this duct !!

At a home to perform an aeroseal, as I walked in I see can lights in the hallway ceiling (where the duct runs). The guys he hired to install the can lights just hacked into the ductwork. He will now be replacing them with mini LED puck lights that are only 1-1/2" deep to fit below the duct.Click image for larger version.

Thats a "Heated pot light ductsystem" It uses the heat from the lights to heat the house.

How do you do that to someone's house and exspect to get paid LOL

Idiot should have used a holesaw, install cans & ran the romex inside the duct.

I saw this last night and was trying to think of my usual smart a$$ reply but had no words to describe my feelings. All I can think of is what 2sac said, Wow!

We can only hope and pray it was a screwball sparky and not a HVAC tech who did this dastardly deed.
The picture in my avatar is of the Houston Ship Channel and was taken from my backyard. I like to sit outside and slap mosquitos while watching countless supertankers, barges and cargo ships of every shape and size carry all sorts of deadly toxins to and fro. It's really beautiful at times.....just don't eat the three eyed fish....
