Hello everyone! I have decided that I want to make HVAC my career! I have very little knowledge so far when it comes to this field. I am fortunate enough to have landed a job with a local contractor as a helper/labourer until I can become an apprentice. Hopefully I have what it takes! I am feeling very overwhelmed with all the information I am trying to retain day to day. Any advice??? Thanks in advance!

Just keep asking questions and learn all you can. It take 3-5 or more years of doing this everyday to gain enough knowledge and confidence to be a good tech (install or service). I love my job because I do something different everyday and get to enjoy the outdoors. I also love fixing stuff. Hope you do well, if you have any questions feel free to post your questions and we'll do our best to help you as much as we can.
