Is it alright to run a Goodman ARUF303016 air handler with 10kW of heat that has lost it's heat pump? It will be some time before the hp is on line and it is cold in here.

Thats the beauty of a heat pump with electric strips for back up... switch the stat over to emergency heat and get warm!

Just don't do it for a prolonged time, you won't like your electric bill!

just make sure you switch the stat to emergency heat, not just run it as aux heat. That way the stat operates the heat at the set point, not 2 degess lower.
