Test ports in doors
Hey guys and gals, new here and I think I have this in the right forum?
We had a spec come through for a job that is asking for "test ports in doors" and now I need to figure out something to spec or design to make that happen and I thought I would come here to see what everyone likes/hates or where I would get something? We had one suggestion to make a port out of PVC fittings but my problem is we are putting it in a unit with 1" OD doors so I am having trouble finding parts that will fit inside.
Ideally I would like a single part, just wondering if anyone out there knew of anything good that works and will seal the hole when not being used for testing.
Thanks.

sounds like you're asking about holes to insert pitot tubes in duct for airflow checks? it's just a 1/4"-3/8" hole. most people plug them with snap in caps.

local N B Handy had a part sheet on wall for grey metal south, I think.
showed a # of duct fitting they made, damper parts, etc.
a flange w/cap was shown there for a test port as well.
maybe can look up on their site?Col 3:23
