Siemens tec room temp calibration
I trying to calibrat a siemens tec app. 2281 I can change the slope and intercept for the room temp but the "ctl temp" does change its value. the tec manual says "The valve of CTL TEMP (Point 78) is the same as the value of ROOM TEMP(point 4), unless CTL TEMP is overridden." I am not overriding the CTL TEMP it has the priority of NONE. any suggestions? Our siemens rep will be here in two weeks but i don't think i can wait that long. thanks

we use 2558 on my site. CTL TEMP is whatever your heating or cooling setpoint is. so if your box is in HEAT mode, CTL TEMP is the heating setpoint. vice versa for COOL mode. i am not familar with your TEC app but thats how CTL TEMP works for us.

Unfortunately you cannot calibrate the room temperature sensor. When you changed the intercept of the "ROOM TEMP" point you only changed the unbundled point value. The values you see in the TEC will remain unchanged. The temperature displayed on the graphics will be the unbundled point value and not the TEC value.
A work around would be to change the intercept of the "ROOM TEMP" unbundled point and use the value of "ROOM TEMP" to override the "CTL TEMP" point through code. The "ROOM TEMP" subpoint in the TEC will not change but the "CTL TEMP" will be overridden and reflect the calibrated value.
The code will be something like: "TEC_NAME:CTL TEMP"="TEC_NAME:ROOM TEMP"(if you manually unbundled the room temp point then use the manually unbundled name).

Thanks air1 not what I wanted to hear, but I had thought of doing that as a quick fix. However it looks like my only fix. that's what I'll do.
