New to HVAC Looking for some advice.......
Currently guaduated with a HVAC certification and EPA Type I and TYPE II certification. Seem tough getting in without 3+ year experience. Looking for advice....... What is the best way to get into this trade and be able to get further training to benefit me in the long run? union apprentice program or getting with a company to work alongside a journeyman? Is there more demand for residental/light commercial or commercial/industrial?

what do you mean by HVAC certification?
-
I took a 3 month course at BOCES and received a certificate.

Honestly I think you just have to get lucky and have someone take a chance and hire you. I'd say take any opportunity to get your foot in the door.

Thanks for the advice. I have read getting into union apprentice program is more likely for long term career. Any thoughts?

try to get type four and yes any apprentiship through union is considered marriage and long term career opportunity.
-
Thanks. What is Type four?

I agree. Scheduled for retake in January.

yes that looks a lot better.

I would suggest joining the union. They will have some more training and classes. Also a lot of knowledgeable people to learn from.

could you send me a link, would be curious as a student myself to look over there curriculum. I am in a 12 month program and I just finished the first 2-3 months. There are 6 courses in the program, and I just finished the first 2.
