Wilmington, NC vs. D.C.
I'm wanting to move to Wilmington, NC from working in D.C./Virginia. At the time I plan to move I'll have 1 year experience as a commercial service tech apprentice making at least $17/hr.
My questions are what can I expect to make doing either commercial or residential in Wilmington with 1 year experience and also how difficult do you think it would be getting a job there in the summer. I won't move if I won't be making enough to live(with parents at the moment).
I did use a cost of living index calculator but don't want to fully rely on that. Thanks for your help.

What do you mean by Tech Apprentice? As in Union? Not to knock the Carolinas, but the UA Local seems rather weak out there. It's a two state Local with varying scales.
