Love this thread... I carry a M&P .40, and sleep with an older Ruger Security Six .357 in my night stand. I doubt (and hope) I'll ever need them but IF some breaks in...they are not leaving...and I have a backhoe and a corn field in my back yard, LOL.
Nothing wrong with protecting your family!!once you think you know everything, you'll never learn another thing!

I am with you brother, and I want my mom to have the same protection you have. I figure that S/S ruger is about as good as it can get.
Mom has a more than a hundred acres if that helps, LOL.I draw all my schematics in crayon now. If they cannot always be correct, they can at least be colorful.

Ahh the memories....when I was 8 or 9 I was giving my granfather grief for his security six. Asking why he didn't have a semi-auto. His response has rang true the rest of my life...If I can't hit what I'm aiming at in 6 shots, I shouldn't be shooting at all. Of course then he also commented on how it could be used as a club!

Sound advice. I took the SS shooting Tuesday, great gun, already sighted in.
