WAY too much resistance, need hard duct.
11 flex ducts tied to supply plenum, 30" long. Flex runs 30 to40 feet to far side. It's like spaghetti noodles in this attic. Classic

Psalm 51:10, 12
Looks like a monster in the attic. Would scare me in the dark.
I'm not a fan of pressure box systems anyway but come on now, 1 pressure box, no dampers and a reduct comin!!!!
DIY at its finest!
Let me guess, 11 supply ducts, 1 return?
& 1500 sf, 100,000 btu/4 ton?
Looks like that in every attic here in Las Vegas. Some may have a bunch of "splitter boxes" as well. Never saw anything like it until I moved here. I get a lot of airflow problem service calls.

Hey its cheap! Isn't that the best? The ethnic install crew rides around in a 4door flatbed loaded down. They do it in 1 day.
And usually they get sold a bigger unit to fix that!
Isn't that one of those HIGH VELOCITY systems????
That is what it reminds me of.

Those who dance, appear insane to those who do not hear the music.
Those who believe, appear ignorant to those who do not know God.
Looks like what passes for the norm here. Not unusual to find it all just laying on the joists, many times it is too long and they were in too big of a hurry to cut it.
Avatar is a tribute to my Great Grandfather, Andrew Stewart. This pin was one of his advertisements for his heating and plumbing business. I never knew him but must of inherited his love of things mechanical since I am the only blue collar worker in the family
Looks like some of our competitors work around here in new construction. We have shown it to the superintendents and builders but they are more concerned with why it takes us longer to get the rough-ins done. As long as it passes inspection most of them couldnt care less, if it was put in right.
Funny how that works no one cares about mechanical except mechanics. Well until u buy a house w ****ty mechanical!!!
