Need some pro advice
Hey guyS,
HErs the deal, it's start up time I have 150 units to do, I've have about hafe of them done, they are r410a heat pumps, the unit iam dealing with is a 2.5 ton here is my data suction side 68 psi sh 28 liquid side 267 psi 22 subcooling, when the compressor starts up it sounds like ther is liquid in it, it seems like its having a hard time to start, the head pressure would jump up all the way to 530 psi and then slowly go Down, and then stays around 275 or so the suction Side would start to drop to 75 psi and then slowly go down to around 58 psi so the compressor to the service valve starts to freez and fast. I have discovered the the hvac Forman at the job sight has put baffles in all the supply runs I don't know what the airflow across the evap is I will tomorrow but would low airflow and an overcharg system freez up the compressor to the service valve or would it just freez the evap coil . Ian thinking the evap is flooded but I would like to know what u pros think. Thanks

Don't think its just an air flow problem. With 68 PSIG on an R410A system with 28°SH, you most likely have a refrigerant flow problem.
