I'm not and I am really grateful. I have a lower back issue that popped up and am uncomfortable in any position. Hopefully it will heal by Monday.

I really screwed up as I suspect it is due to fall off the back of my truck when I missed the bumper as a step. Three feet down to the pavement and flat on my back. I hopped right back up and was proud of myself for still being able to bounce a little. So I didn't report it. That was Tuesday afternoon and I felt fine all day Wednesday. Now I have to hunch over a bit to get some relief.

I should have stayed at the rubber band plant, we got three paid days off for Turkey day and a week off paid for Christmas.

Now I'll be lucky if i get Christmas off.

7 to 330. Cleaned some ice machines this morning and now commencing operation hideout at my desk. Shoes off and feet up. This place is a ghost town today.

I certainly dont miss running out of a service truck. I did that for 10 years. i went corporate. now i have my own cubicle and the best boss ever. Same money but no stress. still get my hands dirty too tho. the best of both worlds. I should have done this a long time ago

Paid holiday.... on call, two calls today, a low temp freezer at a blood plasma place and an IT server room. 6 hours total.
“I am for doing good to the poor, but...I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of it. I observed...that the more public provisions were made for the poor, the less they provided for themselves, and of course became poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the more they did for themselves, and became richer.”

We are. Far behind on cleans so humping them out. Couple office ladies off, couple of the guys otherwise hard at work. Despite the cold & wind, few service calls came in. Phone was pretty dead. Some of the supply houses were closed today, lazy bums.
