    6 month old tank

    6 months old, could not unscrew fitting due to corrosion. Cut the pipes and they 'POPPED" out of position LOL

    Had to take the power vent off and use a 24" pipe wrench! Replaced the unions, cleaned off corrosion, added a drip leg and got the system going. All because the homeowner couldn't wait till the next morning for us to do it right the first time.

    6 months old! Wow. Installer couldn't even replace those old gate valves? Thats just lazy

    They called the builder who sent out their licensed plumber. <G>

    Yes, I changed out the valves and put some nice full port ball valves in. When rotating the picture to post here I lost the good view of all the corrosion on top of the tank,

    I hate using those dielectrics. I stick to 3/4 female adapters and they never leak.
