Does anyone have a link for a service manual I could download for a bakers aid roll-in heater proofer

Serial: 01-3PB86-A

I need information on how to replace blower fan motor. It is a prison package and they are telling me that only way to replace is to remove the tac welds. I can't find any service manuals, exploded views, nothing on this unit. I know Hobart made it, but they have no info on there website.

I have never worked on any prison package equipment, but surely there is a way to replace motor without messing with the tac welds.

Any information or input is appreciated.

Hopefully you haven't cut anything up yet. I couldn't post because I could not log in.

Hobart did not make the BAP proofers. They were made before Hobart bought the company.

Anyway, what tack welds are you talking about? I thought The Prison Package was just special security screws. On a unit that old you will also need the blower wheel as it will most likely be rusted to the shaft. Cut the shaft off with a sawsalll and remove the motor. Under the water tank cover there are two or three long screws that hold the blower wheel area together. Remove what you need to and peel back the shroud covering the blower wheel. Reverse to reassemble.

I ran across this post. I'm looking for a parts manual for a BARO-2E. I have a blower motor that's making a whining noise. It's been several years since I've done one of these and I can't remember what I need.
I'm not exactly sure how we're suppose to exchange emails - let me know if you know how.

Hobart changed the circulation fan motor to a 3 hp. It involves more than just the motor though. It would be much cheaper to rebuild the existing motor if the customer can be own for a day.

Sorry I have not updated or replied. Thanks for the good advice you gave ovenguy. It actually was not a prison package at all. The maintenance just could not find any screws so they figured it was a prison package..

Even though I had not read your post I did exactly as you had suggested, except for ordering the wheel.. HD to cut shaft with sawzall and could not break set screw loose.. Ordered wheel next day air and put it back together next day.

I am sure I will need your assistance in the future as I work on ovens quite frequently.
