Ecobee or Nest
Looking to get a WiFi stat for my house what one would you choose or is there a better one out?

I like the ecobee. We are installing a 'customer supplied' Nest this week while perfoming his system's scheduled maintenance. Only installing it as we do his A/C work. I don't like that they can get the Nest at the big box stores.
Therefore, I have a grudge against the Nest, and like the ecobee, lol.
Honeywell has a new one out that I have not yet tried. Some here will pipe in with their experiences on them. I await their input as well.

We've had a couple customers with Nests. Such a frustrating stat to install. Minimal instructions, I called tech support twice and got clueless people.
What do you want one for? Just to be different? For remote access? If the latter, Vision Pro WiFi coming out seems to be the lowest priced with internet access and the traditional super easy interface.

Ecobee is a superior thermostat to the Nest. The nest is a basic thermostat electronically, with an added wifi feature. And you get to pay the "iTax" because it has Apples name associated with it.

however it isnt a full IAQ with Dehum included.. i hope thats the one they are working on as anyone requesting one of these most likely has a high end system and needs iaq w/ dehum set up..

I think the promise of "savings" is a total lie, but tracking operation is incredibly valuable. I really like seeing how these different apartments perform.
Screenshots - http://bit.ly/4ecobeethermostatsWhich makes more sense to you?
CONSERVATION - turning your thermostat back and being uncomfortable. Maybe saving 5-10%
ENERGY EFFICIENCY - leaving your thermostat where everyone is comfortable. Saving 30-70%
DO THE NUMBERS! Step on a HOMESCALE.
What is comfort? Well, it AIN'T just TEMPERATURE!
Energy Obese? An audit is the next step - go to BPI.org, or RESNET, and find an auditor near you.
