I'd become a Liberterian if they would just stop coming up with such ridiculous candidates. The Libertarians are every bit as idioctic as the Republicans and the Democrats, and they can't get elected to the higher offices.

It's more like everyone involved in the political process is out to figure out how to screw over the average American by using which line of bullcrap.

There are plenty of red states who receive far more federal dollars than they pay in so does that make all those red states welfare states ? You probally don't what to talk about things like that because they are backed with facts . Stop spreading gloom and doom .
The Democrats are more successful in propogating Socialism in the U.S. than even the American Socialist Party USA is, so, in reality, the Democratic Party is the premier Socialist Party.

O'Bummer is worst than any of the things you are denying he is. O'Bummer is a Socialist leaning fascist who sympathizes with radical Muslims and is willing to use Communist methods to turn the U.S. into some sort of banana republic styled run country.

We have been the most Christian nation in the history of the world and as a result, we have been the most blessed nation in the world. But now, democrats want to completely get rid of God interfering in our affairs as they have the past 40 or 50 years. Good ole boy republicans like Karl Rove only want fiscal conservatives and not social conservatives. Libertarians just want to grow their dope, then smoke it, then munch down an extra large pizza and then go find a good looking hooker to bang. We have lost many of our freedoms because we have lost the moral base and the Christian base. Next we will lose our finances. I honestly don't see a solution in any political party. The republicans are more tolerable to me than libertarians or democrats though. I am discouraged about our current political system. I wish there was a "Middle Class Party" that was socially conservative.

I think people should keep their personal relationship with their imaginary friend to themselves and stop lamenting that they can't control the government.

We have most certainly not been the most Christian nation in the history of the world, unless you want to discount the Holy Roman Empire, the British Empire, Medeival France/England/Spain etc. It is not our Christianity, per se, that has made us great, but rather our dedicated faith in what we refer to as God the Creator rather than a faith in man through government that has blessed the U.S. with having been so great a nation.

Have no doubt though, history tells us that throughout the existance of mankind there has been an ongoing theological battle between good and evil in which evil has many times disguised itself as good.

I do agree with general premise that we need to get back to having faith in a spiritual Creator of the universe and stop denying that Creator by becoming dependent on man's government.

This is exactly what that which wants to destroy us wants us to think. Why?

Since many of them are run as private for-profit businesses, anyway. If I only had a nickel for every time I've read someone going on about how charity is not the within the scope of duty of the government. Or how charity should be handled on the local and inter-personal level, or administered by private cooperative efforts. If it came down to it, that rhetoric would go right out the window if their church's tax-exempt status were threatened.

It is as bmathews put it; none of us want a big, bloated federal government wasting our money. We want less government for things we don't care about or are not affected by directly, and we want more government for the things we do care about. I don't want gratuitous federal deficit spending, but more than that, I don't want some insane religious zealot elitist trying to dictate what music I can listen to, what movies I can watch, what I can do in my bedroom, etc... I'm more disgusted by the hypocrisy and phony moral crusade of the religious right-wingers than I am of the welfare mammy who cranks out a baby by an unknown father every 9 months.

People are coming to their senses and leaving churches in droves. If the republican party wants to ever be relevant again, they need to drop the faux-pious pontificating and preaching element of their party and accept a secular government that works for everyone, regardless of their beliefs or lack of.

Man i am so with you . I find myself liking parts of both parties but not either parties far out from the middle views .
