Republicans are against all of that. That's why people who say there is no difference between democrats and republicans are using some frame of reference I don't understand. Maybe they are libertarians who want to be fiscaly conservative, but who are as immoral as democrats. With libertarians, add all of the above immoral behavior along with smoking pot, meth, crack and anything else.

It's the loss of our moral base and or Christian heritage that is destroying us. The republicans should strike out for moral and social issues even harder. They are being advised to do the opposite which will mean the end of the republican party. I'm sure Karl Rove will nominate some watered down middle-of-the-road republican in 2016--like Rubio. Santorum is a republican that could have made a different, but Karl Rove and his buddies did not like him. Karl Rove only wants a fiscal conservative and not a moral conservative. In Rick Santorum's case, he was a Christian conservative. Very few republicans have the guts to stand up to liberal democrats because they are such a lying and nasty group of people who have no morals. Nobody wants to get the poison of liberal democrats spewed all over them.
You sir are whats wrong with the republican party , they had better figure it out are there toast .

Why don't you boys just enjoy your socialist party instead of trying to make the Republican Party into another anti American Party. Thank you, thank you very much

We both agree here clif. I'm an economic and foreign policy libertarian all the way, just have a problem with most of the libertarian social platforms from legalized drugs to open immigration (0 immigration till a true 4% unemployment rate) and the whole open gay perversion thing. My comment was meant mainly for the OP, 54 and a few others. Thank you, thank you very much

I know more than a few ppl that would agree with you. Most of them Repubs that defected like I did. Not all of us agree with the entire platform. I'd like to see the borders closed. Permanently.

So our jobs and "benefits" belong to the rest of the world to come in and take it huh ace? With around 20% real unemployment lets give all new jobs to immigrants and if they can't find a job go on welfare. I don't care if they are "legal or illegal" all the same to me with our high unemployment. Gees, think America first not the 3rd world. Thank you, thank you very much

So your economic summary is incorrect.

Unless you are talking about debt reduction and interest payments (to overseas entities),
Pure bullcrap! Your speculation that Americans who get my money from government after government takes a major portion of it for its own use is better spent money than I would spend it is pure offensive bullcrap! I rarely travel out of the U.S. and the most time I spent out of the U.S. was for months in Cayman, where I made money from working in Cayman and sent a large portion of it back to the U.S. to be spent at home. So stop being such a ridiculous person with claims that you have any idea what I or other hard working Americans spend our money on.

Without consideration for the so called fiscal cliff, if Obama's plans to allegedly tax the wealthy go into affect, which Obama has declared that the American people voted for that to happen by voting him back into office, my household taxes will increase aproximately $5,000. I don't even want to know what it is going to cost us if we go off of the so called fiscal cliff.

So, you admit that when Democrats were in control, I had to pay more taxes, and now that Democrats are back in control, I have to again pay more taxes. What do I get out of the additional money being taken from me by government?

We dont have a socialist party glen . Obama is not a socialist, communist , muslim and what ever else you want to call him .What he is is your president for the next 4 years so get over it . And while were at it the dems or not all looking for a hand out . There are plenty of red states who receive far more federal dollars than they pay in so does that make all those red states welfare states ? You probally don't what to talk about things like that because they are backed with facts . Stop spreading gloom and doom .
