If you think moving to this part of the panhandle will pay well.... Stick to your union job, lol.

Other than military and tourists, this part of the world is the forgotten zone.

If folks would quit giving away their services and systems for free, there would be more left over for mo' betta pay.

Pretty average for Florida. Cost of living, housing, and taxes are pretty low here. Wages too.

I don't know about that... Most of the guys I work with make between 30-40 an hour on the check... Not union, either.

For 10-16 an hour, you should consider yourself lucky if you get someone who has a driver's license or can pass a drug test. If you have both, you would be at the top of that scale. Forget someone who is experienced...

I think you are a little late with your reply. Almost a year. I assume the job has been filled by now? How is business in the pan handle. Panama city is a beautiful place.

16 a hr is the high end in panama city for a service tech & a service manager get 18-20. i am just goin with the flow thats what everyone else is and has been paying in this town for years. i started out making 8 a hr and started my business after i was an area manager for largest refrigeration company in florida and i was only making 18. as a business we charge $65 if i paid a tech 40 a hour i would lose money! you gotta pay workers comp, reemployment tax, gas, insurances, ect. A large company around here is hiring experience service tech for 12 a hr. this isnt Atlanta where we get 100 trip charge and 100 a hour. enjoy them union jobs cause they are goin to pay much better then this small town.
