While I wont put it past fienstein to try and get an assault weapons ban.... you have to look at the source of that story. it came originally from a website that caters to the firearms industry...both manufacturers and retail. This is just the beginning of another onslaught of "Obamas gonna get them guns" in order to make every tom dick and harry run out and buy buy buy......

And of course.... you are right about the confiscation...... we dont have the manpower to do something like that....and the government isnt going to get tangled up in the legal mess.....and it would be an absolute mess.....of trying to compensate people for their weapons.

They ....just aint going to try and round them all up.

Another magazine ban...sure....pistol grips and stock configurations....sure..... but they are not going to ban guns and they are not going to come and collect what is out there already.

Outrageous. They might have to come get the guns themselves, I don't expect reasonable people would just turn them in to Uncle Slam.

Speaking of guns, I'm looking for a reliable, not too expensive revolver-type handgun. Any suggestions? Mainly for home defense and recreational. Types, caliber, barrel?

Get a shotgun for home defense..... If you want a revolver...try and find something like an older smith.....357 is the best all round caliber..... between .38 special and .357 cartridges there is quite a bit of selection.

Id love to have my old S&W model 19 back...... it was a really nice gun. I had a 686 till my nephew broke in this summer and stole it from me.... but it was a 6 inch barrel so it was a bit bulky to lug around.

I keep a browning hi power to use for home defense now...... all my shotguns were stolen by my nephew also...... but I doubt Ill ever need it.
We have had prowlers several times over the years and turning on a light always sends them running.

I also have an old hatchet in the bedroom too..... If I dont shoot em Im going to bash their brains out.........lol

And they will try it again....and may even be succesfull at getting some gun types banned......but the government is just never going to come to your house and take anything that you legally bought. Thats just never going to happen.... unless of course we have a radical change in government.... which I dont foresee in the near future.

I know many seem to like to characterize obama and the dims as socialists, marxists and commies....... but as long as this nation is known as the USA.... they are not going to be knocking on doors and collecting guns.

And yes... the media hype...... our local talk radio show is already getting people up in arms... and their biggest sponsors are local gun dealers and prepper stores.....

Buy guns and buy those 6 dollar meals that cook themselves..... yep... thats the way to invest your money for the coming fall of america.... and gold.... when america is a wasteland and people in armed roving gangs are out to kill you for a candy bar....having 50 grand in gold around your neck is going to do a lot of good.....lol
