I finally got around to getting another oil sample to different lab.
They were all under 200 ppm, I can only guess that the first samples were bad somehow.
Thanks for the help.

I know of a new Rtac from Trane with a drier in liquid line so I guess it can now come with them.

Are you sure there is a drier core in there, or is it just a shell? Can you post the serial number?

I Don't have the serial I will see if I can get it. Did not see the unit myself but it was a drier not just a drier core. The guy that told me works for trane and I have known him for years. He works on a lot of of rtac and asked me if I had seen it before.

I think he's talking about the drier on the oil scavanger line.

I asked him if he meant that and he said no it had a liquid line Drier. If it was someone ease I might not believe it, but he knows these chillers and has seen them a lot.

POE oil will absorb moisture through a plastic bottle or jug. That's why the oil is in a steel container when purchased new to prevent the oil from absorbing moisture while on the shelf.

I just started up a brand new RTAC. Looked up parts off of serial number and it comes back with the same part number for the canister with the paper element in it that the RTAC has always used. I didn't open up the canister and look, just looked up the part number.....
