Water leaking from furnace

Hello,
we recently replaced our furnace and installed a/c in our new home. Our house is below the water table so we have a sump pump and could not find a floor drain. Both the a/c and furnace our draining into the sump pump. We have found quite a bit of water on the floor recently since the furnace started running. Should we be concerned? Is there something we can do?

i would be a little concerned. you need to find out where the water is comming from. i would call the contractor that unstalled it.

What type of furnace,ie 80% or 90%? Does it vent in PVC pipe? If it does vent in PVC the furnace drain needs attention. If the vent pipe is metal you either have a vent issue or the water is coming from elsewhere.

There is a box that is separate from the furnace that has 2 pipes coming out of it. This seems to be where the leak is. My husband thinks it's because the water is trying to run upwards since it goes up and through the wall into the sump pump.

So we looked up the part and it looks like the condensate pump. It only went on when my husband tilted it up.

if you have a condensate pump, http://compare.ebay.com/like/3804593...Types&var=sbar, like this it is pumping the water someplace.

the condensate pump pipes, is one pvc and the other vinyl or plastic tubing?

pvc would be the drain, inlet, from the furnace and a/c and the tubing would be the outlet from the pump to a drain.

I'd ask why you're asking on this site rather than having the installing company come out and remedy the problem? You have at least a 1-year part and labor warranty for just such issues. Use it. Then if you question the results, we're still here!

I wanted to see if it was something simple that we weren't doing. This is our first time owning a home and therefore everything is new to us.
I have called the installing company and they will be coming on Monday to take a look.
I appreciate everyone's help.
I'll let you know if they don't end up helping me.
