Please help, Bryant or York?

Ok you guys were so helpful in my first thread(especially Danswfla) im back for one more question. I know you all preach "its not the unit it's the installer", so with that said(and noted) out of these two units which would you prefer?

Bryant Preferred Model#126BNA042 3.5 ton 16 seer with FV4CNF005 air handler or

York LX model# YCJF42S41S4 3.5 ton 16 seer with AHE42 air handler

I would go with York over Bryant any day of the week.

First, I would go with a H/P in Florida. But, to answer ur question, the Bryant has a "variable-speed" blower motor (the best).

The York guy is trying to low ball with a X13 motor (better than a PSC motor).

I would ABSOLUTELY NOT HAVE A HEAT PUMP. Those are for climates where you actually have to heat your house.
That's not something we have to do every year in SW FL.
I did not have to use Any heat from 2003 -2007.

Whats wrong with a heat pump in Florida. Just do not install aux heat, and the few times you need heat the hp can handle it much more efficiently than straight electric heat strip heat. Unless gas is cheaper to use than the electricity to power heatpump only.

It might go below 45'F about 50 hours a year.
If it's 70'F during the day NO heat needed.
The heat doesn't come on when the t-stat us still set for cooling.
MS would be more than 350 miles North of me.

nothing wrong with micro channel.....unless you do not understand it...if that is the case do not sell it.......
